Weird. Are you on Yosemite? Yosemity has replaced mDNSResponder by disoveryd. This the guy that does the DNS name lookup. I have just recently read an article (http://arstechnica.com/apple/2015/01/why-dns-in-os-x-10-10-is-broken-and-what-you-can-do-to-fix-it/) detailing the differences between the old and the new. Well, the new one, discoveryd, is prone to malfunction. I also sometimes get that "Safari could not find the server". A retry usually helps. The commandline tools like ping or nslookup have their own DNS lookup code statically linked in. So these do not use discoveryd. This is the IP of learningthewonders.com: 213.189.151.242 Unfortunately you cannot use the raw IP address in Safari as learningthewonders.com is a virtal host. You would end up on the default page of my company.
Give it another try (or downgrade to mDNSResponder, see arstechnica article) ---markus--- > On 21.01.2015, at 18:04, Chuck Hill <[email protected]> wrote: > > It works from Canada, must be the NSA onto you. :-) > > > On 2015-01-21, 9:00 AM, "Theodore Petrosky" wrote: > > Markus, > > I just tried the learningthewonders.com site, and I can not get through. > Safari can't find the server! > > Do you think this is a conspiracy? > > > On 1/21/15 10:56 AM, Markus Ruggiero wrote: > On 20.01.2015, at 20:10, Jeffrey Simpson <[email protected] > <mailto:[email protected]>> wrote: > > When I go to the wiki.wocommunity.org I get a confluence upgrade failure > page.
