Amen to that. So what is needed? First and formost something open source that does not infringe on Apple's intellectual property. I have been very busy with some rather big WO projects in the last couple months and haven't had the time to follow your work in that area. I was hoping to meet you (Paul) and the other TB folks at WOWODC just because I wanted to learn where things are and what might (or might not) be a possible future. We don't need Wonder on top of WebObjects, we need a unified open source sort of "clone". Thus as interesting as Cayenne sounds, there is still WebObjects underneath. Yes, I am coming to WOWODC and even bring a colleague along (hey, my company rucotec GmbH from Switzerland already brings ~7% of all the attendants this year). We are really looking forward to some of the talks (Cayenne, too!). Just hope this won't become a funeral party. And yes, I am one of those who work on large WO projects. This is not just maintenance but active development of new features. These are intranet applications used strategically in a worldwide operating chemical company. My customer don't care whether this is "deprecated" stuff, but they DO appreciate when I can deliver things within days for 1 tenth of their inhouse cost instead of having to wait for an integrated SAP solution sometime next year.
