The directory structure is not really all that different than before:
Old New Purpose
----------------- ---------------- ------------------
NextDeveloper Developer Apple dev tools
NextLibrary Library Apple libs/frameworks/apps
LocalLibrary Local/Library Your libs/frameworks/apps
LocalDeveloper Local/Developer Your tools, etc.
The whole point is that your custom developed things and third-party
items are much better off in a common location that is different from
the directories used by Apple in the installation of their product. That
way, upgrades can't (er...shouldn't) clobber you. Regardless, contrary
to what was stated in that earlier reply, you absolutely would not want
to delete the Developer and Library directories or you would be wiping
out your WO/YB environment.
