Did you bother to read the article. Its says
"But as volume has grown to more than one million hits a day, the Microsoft
Windows NT and Compaq Proliant server environment behind the Web site had
reached its performance threshold."
Thats the SUN sales pitch and many might agree. Its unfortunate that it goes
on to say
"Moving from a custom catalog application developed by a programmer from
Apple Computer, and Web Objects, The Sharper Image installed two Sun
Enterprise 450 workgroup servers and will soon launch a re-designed Web
environment created by E-commerce consulting firm Evergreen Internet"
But even that could read well as "developed by a programmer" indicates a 1
million hit per day site dynamic site was developed by a single programmer.
