Hey all... some of you may know me from such popular posts as "Coordinating WOPopUp.. and WODisplayGroup", etc.

Well, for those of you following that thread, I'm sorry to say that that issues is as yet unresolved, though I'll let you know. For now, however, I've noticed the following interesting thing...

Actually, I've noticed two things. The first is that all the WO dev tools as well as the apps I build bombard the event viewer w/ tons and tons of messages and they're all flagged as critical errors, regardless of what their content might be. Is there any way to prevent this?

Also, to keep in line w/ the subject matter, I've noticed that when I build install, my frameworks, and dlls are copied to my ~/Library/.. directory, but are done so w/out write permissions for either user, group, etc. Now, this is actually an NT box, and I've ben informed that these "unix style" permissions don't really apply. But that's not 100% the case. I tend to do most of my navigation, etc., using a TCShell. However, I'm unable to 'rm -r -f' the frameworks, or merely rm the dlls that are being built... ya' know when making clean just isn't enough and you really want to blow everything away. I'm forced to open a Windows Explorer - which I don't care much for - and go through the whole shabang or deleting the files.

Does anyone know, how/where the permissions to be set are being determined and how I can go about overriding the settings?

thanks
mx.
