Well, there are several XML classes available:
check out the IBM site (should be http://www.ibm.com/xml/) They have a
complete parser for XML data.
There is also an XML package from SUN, check out their java dev area
(You have to register, but you don't have to pay for it).
Have a look at http://www.xml.com for other links to code.
