I disagree to the statement that Cookbooks are the secondary source of info

they are indedd the primary source of info

if you look at the mailing list there are questions about how to upload,
snippets which are perfectly answered by cookbooks,

cookbooks are the reason php became pop

we should work on making anand's cook book great
