I just received a letter (in Russian) from null.ru - they apologize for downtime because of hardware failure and inform of increased diskspace. They plan to allow user CGI soon. I didn't check whether what I posted earlier (see below) still works. ----- A Russian free webspace provider offers three ways to upload: via <ftp://www.null.ru>, <http://null.ru/cgi-bin/fm.pl> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>. Webspace limit 1 M. Subdirectories forbidden. Registration form: http://null.ru/cgi-bin/regmail.pl Text there is in Russian, but form field names are in English: "name" (username) can contain symbols a-z, 0-9; "pwd" and "pwd1" (password) must be at least 3 symbols long; "fullname" - your name is enough; "email" - your email address, not on null.ru; "alias" means forwarding: You get mail account <username>@null.ru along with website. It can either forward to the email address you specified at registration or accumulate mail in mailbox with web (<http://www.null.ru/cgi-bin/w3mail>, JavaScript required - Netscape 3.0+ or IE 4.0+) or POP3 (mail.null.ru) access. Mailbox for the present allegely of unlimited size, no limit on letter size. No SMTP server, but mail with @null.ru in "From:" can be sent using web-access or "xtnd xmit" extension of POP3 protocol (or via your ISP, of course). Form for change of settings: http://null.ru/cgi-bin/changemail You can access your website as http://www.null.ru/people/<username> or http://www.null.ru/pages/<username> For creation of a shortcut like http://<name>.null.ru use free subdomain registration form: http://null.ru/cgi-bin/rdna Fill "url" field if you want to create shortcut to a site outside null.ru; otherwise fill the "url_null" field by your username on null.ru. "name" and "url_null" can differ. I registered an account there online, but I think that it's possible by accmail methods. I suppose that cookies aren't required for registration. If your page contains 8-bit characters and they get distorted then upload .htm instead of .html or vice versa. It's because or handling of two main Russian charsets: the site is designed for Russian users. ;) Email uploading commands (you must write angle brackets and exclamation signs as shown, don't write brackets): <!user [username] [password] > <!text [filename] > - uploading of text file. Place the file after this command. <!binary [filename] > - uploading of binary file. Place the file uuencoded after this command. <!delete [filename] > Example: <!user ups lsls > <!text index.html > <html> <body> Hi!<img src="constru3.gif"> </html> </body> <!binary logo.gif > begin 666 constru3.gif M1TE&.#=A*``H`,(``.?GYVYN;KZ^OO_=`````````````````"P`````*``H M```#W`BZW/YPA4@K#!.(S;O_8(@I`F:>:*JFVM@.<"S/="VW66GO_(R3@9YP M]WL-C[=2+C@D.`G'HD[X?`ZES%[5>54"F]NN:ZH-"[&SK;4:]1IC4+@5"4/+ MX@,U?6"'Y\-X;6-9,%!F@7]<-7V%9GEI;#2,B6J5CC%]7(Z(EYAN9'*1-*(^ MGX2-G36*GH.CFG,[JW6FKG&PHS:3B:B0A8^EK9"VLJ*(?+2]C7>IK$NUO)2D M2<'+P];,Q]1[9\C;W-K>1-WAXN#DDN/GZ&,6[1&?(?'R(A,K]O?X^?K[&`D` !.\'+ ` end Alternatively files for uploading can be attached to email. Then only <!user ... > command is obligatory in main body of the letter. I didn't try to create a web-site there by accmail-only methods, but suppose that it's easy. Try and post results! :-) ..............................................................
