Hi,
null.ru looks to be a fine reliable service, uploading by mail works
exactly as described by Lena <[EMAIL PROTECTED] .ua> in
http://www.mail-archive.com/website-by-email%40lists.spunge.org/msg00029.html ,
many thanks!
The log reply by null.ru, reporting processing of files uploaded by
mail, is far more useful as what internettrash gives back.
One little thing has to be watched carefully though.
When several files are uploaded within one single mail, remaining
free space is not recounted during processing of that mail.
Thus files within that mail, that replace existing ones, count
during processing as so as if they were newly created.
Example:
All files below are smaller in byte size as those that they
replace. Negative amounts of bytes are "lost", consequently.
Though it turns out that 'img07b.jpg' exceeds the amount of 116001
free bytes calculated initially.
log of upload processing:
>> <! user stanley2000 ***** >
You are good. You have 116001 free bytes at /dev/null.
>> attachment 'img10a.jpg' Got it. You loose -247 free bytes.
>> attachment 'img01b.jpg' Got it. You loose -17834 free bytes.
>> attachment 'img02b.jpg' Got it. You loose -4709 free bytes.
>> attachment 'img03b.jpg' Got it. You loose -4205 free bytes.
>> attachment 'img04b.jpg' Got it. You loose -6218 free bytes.
>> attachment 'img07b.jpg'
/dev/null overflow! Do delete some files.
>> attachment 'img08b.jpg'
/dev/null overflow! Do delete some files.
>> attachment 'img09b.jpg'
/dev/null overflow! Do delete some files.
"Do delete some files" is suggested wrongly here,
'img07b.jpg' may be uploaded, without any previous delete
operations, by another, second mail.
log of processing of second mail:
Note: 149214 - 247 - 17834 - 4709 - 4205 - 6218 = 116001
>> <! user stanley2000 ***** >
You are good. You have 149214 free bytes at /dev/null.
>> attachment 'img07b.jpg' Got it. You loose -5246 free bytes.
>> attachment 'img08b.jpg' Got it. You loose -9279 free bytes.
>> attachment 'img09b.jpg' Got it. You loose -1797 free bytes.
These image files are photos taken at an international workcamp.
They have been uploaded mainly for to spread them between the members
of the crew that managed the camp.
Many thanks to null.ru for providing the opportunity.
