For many links, such as the ones I know of generated in the X changelogs,
the ON flag days, and webrevs on the cr.opensolaris.org site,
putting in case directory level redirects would cover them.
Examples:
http://opensolaris.org/os/community/x_win/changelogs/changelogs-nv_100/#Build_103
links to http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/arc/caselog/2008/657/
http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/on/flag-days/111-115/ links to
http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/arc/caselog/2009/056/
http://cr.opensolaris.org/~dp/i2o-del/ links to
http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/arc/caselog/2007/045
Since the old site didn't break down by case directory but the new one does,
you might need an extra level of redirection that would probably be easier
to do on the arc.os.o side, such as
http://opensolaris.org/os/community/arc/caselog/(.*) ->
http://arc.opensolaris.org/caselog/year/%1
and then have the script that builds the year html pages under
http://arc.opensolaris.org/caselog/year/ also make redirects or symlinks
from xxxx/yyy there to the appropriate ../{FW,LS,PS,WS}ARC/xxxx/yyy directory.
That's all possible, but as I said we can't do anything until we've
addressed the issue of the case status CSV file. For the moment, what
is there is going to have to suffice.
