Stefan, I did read your comments at that time and, *IIRC*, said that I would take them into consideration, although I did not give you a blow-by-blow response. Regarding the home page, I think your wish is going to be largely granted, because Nikash' home page design is *very* light on text, although there will be Twitter and RSS feed widgets. In the *current* home page design, you really have to have some text on the page or it would look terrible. But, if you're talking about less text on all the pages, I'd have to disagree with you because - at least IMHO - a community site like libreoffice.org *has* to contain information: information for existing community members, and information for people who visit the site for the first time. Your opinion about not having detailed installation instructions on the site for fear of scaring newbies away is not shared by other people I've read, and I don't really agree myself. They need to be there. But do read them. The Linux instructions are the most complex, but say right at the beginning that many distributions will offer an easy installation process (for example, Ubuntu's Software Center). The instructions are only for the community-supplied edition, and I've read long threads on the [tdf-discuss] list bewailing the lack of installation instructions that can be followed by less-experienced users. So I do understand where you're coming from, but I don't think so many people share your POV. As you'll have read, Rogerio is at work trying to simplify the Linux instructions. The Windows instructions are actually very simple to follow - the screenshots take up most of the page space. Ditto for Mac. For the mailing list info, I don't really agree it's a good idea to break it up into bits on different pages of the site. IMHO, many people would agree that it's important to have one place on the site where you can find all that info in one place. However, I am including links to specific lists on relevant pages (and lots of cross-links throughout the site to encourage people to read important contents). I am trying to avoid being *too* verbose in the content. I'm trying to take account of many different opinions, too. But you'll probably agree that it's impossible to please *everyone*. While I'm sure you won't necessarily agree with all the choices I've made, there will be a feedback and comments phase after the handover, and some alterations will certainly be made. So you'll have a chance then, too, to put your ideas forward.
