Sure, it's a good time to look at the packages.

I see folks are updating the wiki page
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Website/UsersForum excellent.

IMO it worth starting even a bit before that however, asking ourselves
some questions first.

So one question for this email.
Do we really want to setup a top level domain with stand alone UI or
reference the libreoffice.org base domain with the forum UI embedded
into the current CMS.

Top Level
- forum.libreoffice.org is then either the en forum or forums home page
-- and then forum.libreoffice.org/en is the en forum.
- forum.libreoffice.org/fr
etc,

or

Embedded
- www.libreoffice.org/forum = en
- fr.libreoffice.org/form
etc,

Technically speaking it is not really a crucial decision for today, but
might possibly have some bearing on the forum package(s) selected. It
would definitely have an influence on customizing the forum theme.

I'm strongly in favor of the embedded approach - the main site CMS is
then our portal and anyone using the forum is exposed to our full set of
services via the CMS menu system.

Next question in another email,
