Just wondering ... is there a time limit for deciding? Without meaning to sound hurtful, it's possible to "discuss all aspects" to the point that momentum is lost.
My vote is for a bog-standard forum, not something exotic or technically innovative. phpBB should be enough. Keep in mind that http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/forum uses phpBB.
