Good idea, it may give a few details, here is one that I received from
Joel. I have TB doing 99% of the spam filtering now, my spam folder is
getting a little more full but the LibreOffice identified emails is no
longer coming in as spam.
the @lists.freedesktop.org site is out of our control, it's maintained
by FreeDesktop. Do the false positives only affect this site, or also a
@tdf or @libo site?
Florian
It affected the @tdf and @libo sites as well, although, not since I have
added the mailing lists to my whitelist. I am having problems with my
other mailing lists from other projects (Gimp, MythTV, TNG, etc).
The problem is obviously with my ISP who IMO are being a little too
aggressive with mailing list correspondence. Who knows, maybe they got
hit by a major spam or virus infestation ... we all eventually get fed
up with it.
I know how stressful it is, I have locked down most of my sites because
of the amount of wasted time spent on trouble-shooting spam/virus
infiltration. I now vet every single person who wants to join on my
sites. Sad.
Although, I now get better quality submissions! :-) Still, ... spammers
are nasty people.
My problem with the tdf and libo lists lasted about 1 day before I
caught on to it. I'll leave a not with my ISP and see if they are
getting more reports of this. I'm a little curious as to what they will
answer.
Cheers,
Marc
