Also, I noticed that the packages for 4.1 do not replace the ones for 4.0, so I essentially had 2 copies of LibreOffice installed to other day.
I think this is (currently) by design, so that TDF packaged don't override the system ones.
For the majority of users, having this linked into their systems update mechanism will help keep the majority of the userbase up to date, anyone who doesn't want to update can always pin the older versions in apt.
No arguments here.
