Sigh. This is a big fail. When we decided to go for owncloud, the basic idea was to have something that would let people download freely and publicly from it, yet requiring credentials for upload. Silly me, I just found out you must login to even access the common folder on Owncloud.
The problem is almost no one is interested in getting credentials so no one is checking up what I am uploading. We were told that Owncloud would be perfect. It is not and is near useless. Really I don't need owncloud to sync files between my two computers. Starting from now I will be uploading the specs on my dropbox. It won't help with collaborative work but at least everyone will be able to download documents. Charles. "Charles-H.
