Yep, which is why I asked originally. :) [I forgot I need to re-subscribe to the forum] (snip...) >> By the way, when looking into this I found the mysqld man page says: >> >> For more information please refer to the MySQL reference >> manual, which may already be installed locally and which is >> also available online at http://www.mysql.com/doc/en/ >> > > Which manpage are you looking at? I don't see that link in mysqld > manpage in either /usr/mysql/5.1/man nor /usr/mysql/5.0/man > /usr/share/man/cat1/mysqld.1 (it was the default in my manpath on OpenSolaris updated to snv_109). I didn't think to check which manpage it was. According to pkg, it's from this: basename file usr/sfw/share/man/man1/mysqld.1 pkg:/SUNWsfman at 0.5.11-0.109 This would seem to be a bug in that package or the integration, since the only mysqld I have installed is the one from Web Stack. Any guesses as to cat/subcat so I can file a bug? > >> It also says "Source for mysql is available on http://opensolaris.org", >> > > That's standard verbiage appended to every (or so) OpenSolaris manpage. Ugh. It seems to imply ownership by the opensolaris.org project. I know it's obviously not the case here, and probably there to comply with the license (i.e. making source changes available), but still... - Matt
