I don't know if this answers your question,but I'll try :-) Earlier we were providing a -dtrace source in a tarball format and using that one and that was not accepted in this forum as it was thought appropriate to patch the source which in this case is now mysql-5.1.37.tar.gz. We do not have a public URL for the tarball download if that were to be used in the METADATA,hence the need. I do not know how/why should this affect the users?Please note we still are continuing to provide the dtrace functionality, though now as a patch to the mysql source.
