Hi Marc and all,
I'm also most interested in this (also watched the video), and trying
to find time to have a play with webdriver. Would love to be able to
drive it from both Fitnesse and WebTest if it really does work well
(Lisa - that would interest you I imagine - if you are still reading
this list!).
Thanks also for posting that link to the discussion. It is most interesting.
I find it interesting and surprising (dumb?) that WebDriver runs with
Javascript disabled in HTMLUnit, claiming that it is a waste of time.
I think all of us on this list would disagree! I'm also concerned
about WebDriver becoming build into Selenium and not available
stand-alone.
Finally, if the talk in the list on that URL you give is correct,
Google is giving full support and committment to resolving all issues
with Selenium. That could see Canoo WebTest marginalised (esp. if
Google agree with the no javascript in htmlunit position) unless
WebTest finds a high profile backer...? Hope not.
cheers,
John
