I've already protested by Simon and he has adapted the doc a bit. I think that it comes from a lack of knowledge of HtmlUnit JS support capacities, once again. HtmlUnit 2.0 should help to change this with some good news in JS support. Stay tunned. > I'm also concerned > about WebDriver becoming build into Selenium and not available > stand-alone. As far as I can understand it, it should stay available as stand-alone. > Finally, if the talk in the list on that URL you give is correct, > Google is giving full support and committment to resolving all issues > with Selenium. That could see Canoo WebTest marginalised (esp. if > Google agree with the no javascript in htmlunit position) unless > WebTest finds a high profile backer...? Hope not. I don't really think so. In fact I guess that most of the work doesn't go public otherwise it would be really ridiculous. I don't think that there is a Google statement there, this is only Simon Steward's point. High profile backer could surely help but even without it we, the future isn't dark at all.
