Another example...The senate is working on the bill to continue money to
community groups in national service...
A Republican amendment would single out Acorn and not give them any
funds....
Using legislation as some form of punishment is clearly against the
constitution.....the amendment was defeated....one amendment by
Republicans now is that backgound checks and fingerprints be gathered
for all those working with the youth, aged, vulnerable etc....also that
they be checked to be sure they have expertise to do what they are
suggesting....and that's a good one....
