Sad story. My best friend and my nephew died of AIDS so I have particular affinity for sufferers of that terrible illness. I pray to God that it will be wiped from the face of the Earth and I thank HIM that drugs are keeping many alive who would have died in earlier stages of the research. My late nephew's brother has the same orientation so I can well believe it's an inborn trait. My brother denied that gay behavior was the source of the infection - he was in denial to the last -- kept believing in some BS like a blood transfusion.
This story really got me - domestic abuse is a dreadful horror, regardless of circumstance. The fact that it ever occurs AGAIN with two people is a ghastly testament to the power of the neurosis that people would STAY AROUND to be abused repeatedly, that the fear and the lack of self-esteem allows those victims to be hurt again. If the perps were prosecuted and punished the FIRST TIME, there'd be a tremendous lessening of domestic violence. Such a sickening situation. It makes my blood run cold every time I hear about it.
