I think it's nice to have two versions of the logo. One main horizontal like the one down to the right, and one like the squares down to the left which are good for "badges", stationaries, flow charts etc.

For the home page, I don't think we should use the logo color to much. In that case, perhaps a lighter tone + 2 tones of grey and a orange-yellow for links etc. Black text, white bg.
Also, I think it's really really important to keep the site simple, both graphical and clientside technical. We don't want a "microsoft" site with loads of buggy stylesheets and other dhtml c**p. I'm currently on chimera or safari on the Mac and the previous submitted site didn't work in any of those.
So my suggestion. No fancy webdesign, use old-school html, no scripts, css and such, just keep it plain and simple!
