I've built a workflow manager which might be useful.
It is based on tasks for workpieces which should be
fulfilled by certain persons. After a task is finished,
the workpiece is forwarded to the next responsible
person.
Up to now, the workflow manager has several parts which
are specific to our problem (some kind of content manage-
ment system), but it should not be too hard to factor
out these parts.
One disadvantage is that the program depends on HTMLgen.
I have no experience with Cheetah, so I don't know how
hard it would be to port the servlets.
If you think that the workflow manager could be of
use for the groupware project, I'd be glad to "open
source" it.
