It wasn't being used or actively developed, and it has been put aside. 
I believe references to it have been deleted from recent releases.

I believe Jay Love was behind it.  It's been unclear to a lot of us what
exactly its goals were -- Bean-like, but even that needs some explaining
in the context of Webware.
