Bizarre. It's like it's crashing in the process of trying to print the traceback. I have no idea what would cause that.
Obvious ideas: - upgrade to Python 2.1.3 or 2.2.1 -- there have been some important bugfixes since 2.1.1. - upgrade to Webware 0.7 (or the tip of CVS which is currently quite stable). - be sure to also recompile mod_webkit -- there were definitely bugfixes since 0.6.1b1. - make sure you're using the latest stable version of any 3rd-party modules you might be using such as database adapters. Every time I can remember in the past that someone has reported the app server crashing, it has turned out to be buggy database adapters. - Geoff > -----Original Message----- > From: Costas Malamas [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Thursday, July 25, 2002 11:57 AM > To: Geoffrey Talvola; [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: RE: [Webware-discuss] WebKit Crashes w/o a traceback > > > > Sorry, you're right, I left out the version details: > WK 0.6.1b1, Python 2.1.1, RHLinux 7.1, Apache 1.3.19, mod_webkit 0.5 > > The line 348 in my Application.py is in dispatchRequest(): > self.handleGoodURL(transaction) > > and AFAICT, this is the first line in every traceback I've > ever got from WK > (but I usually get the rest of the stack...) > > As for the processes, I don't know.
