IMHO the main reason that there is not port for Webware is that the
directory structure if not Linux or distro friendly. The docs should
be seperate and Webware itself should just be installed as a Python
package. But I DON"T like using it that way. I like just extracting a tarball into /usr/local or c:\Webware and making an App Directory in /home/Webware. I think most of the developers also use Webware in a similar manner. Rather then a distro specific port how about an installer? 1) Pick Webware app 2) Pick Python Dir 3) enter extra Python path 4) pick a work dir -Aaron [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Thanks for the input. Good to know it will work after some tinkering.Would be better adoption if there would be a port available. Surprised that webware doesn't have a port while Twisted, 4suite, HTMLgen, Albatross, Quixote, and Zope do. Richard-----Original Message----- From: Tracy S. I'm running Webware of FreeBSD, too, without any problems. apxs was in a strange spot and I had a little bump in trying to build mod_webkit, but other than that everything was fine. --T------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: VM Ware With VMware you can run multiple operating systems on a single machine.
