Webware is a pretty mature framework, so development has slowed down, but it is still maintained and enhanced. I see this sort of "stableness" as something positive if you want to write web applications for a productive environment. You can concentrate on your application and do not need to follow the rapid updates and changes of the framework. > Webware runs fine with 0.9.3 but the docs weren't updated? The docs are part of the software package, so there will be updated docs with the next release. The current Webware version 0.9.1 is dated 2006-04-23 when Kid 0.9.1 was actual. There will be a 0.9.2beta probably in the next days, and the 0.9.2 will then follow very quickly. I think that is a reasonable update cycle for a mature software package. > I see great potential on using webware but info is somewhat scarse, > shure API docs and source code are a wonderfull learning tool, but I'd > think that such an easy framework to start with should have a lot of > followers. The reason for this is not that Webware is not great, but that after Webware came a plethora of other great Web frameworks for Python which are in some regards more modern or cover additional areas (templating, database integration). The big exitement and innovation is taking place there now. But I see the advantage of Webware in being mature, reliable and time-tested, not that it is all the rage. -- Christoph ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
