Our Medicare regional carrier has instructions that 837P test files should not include dummy data. They state that "valid data must be transmitted containing real patient names, street addresses, procedure/diagnosis codes, etc". We're reviewing our test system and testing procedures from the Privacy perspective and have concerns regarding that approach. Does anyone know if this testing approach will be changing once the Privacy regulations are in effect next April?
