Having to hack a router to intercept packets is beyond most people. I don't 
think Path's method for that is practical for most people, and wonder if it 
is even necessary.

But the approach that Pat took to just log into the device and tell it 
where to put its data rather than Wunderground worked like a champ for me 
on my 1400IP.
I'd sure like it more obvious how to get all the pieces together to support 
these.  I very much prefer a Ethernet device to USB, and it's a device 
recommended by Weather Underground and quite economical.
