I found ne problem in the debug log: DEBUG weewx.reportengine: Cannot read skin configuration file /usr/local/bin/weewx/ss/ss/skin.conf for report 'SteelSeries': Config file not found: "/usr/local/bin/weewx/ss/ss/skin.conf". And i see I had SKIN_ROOT set to ss instead of skins - so that is fixed, but i still have an error, the steelseries isnt generating index.php so I will see what pops up in the log now that i have fixed the SKIN_ROOT
