That’s why one option I was suggesting was to just print out the location of the log vs its contents. The idea is to avoid requiring the user to figure out where their log is located, and just either have a tool tell them, or just grab the current log from wherever it was stored and dump it out. I’m aware that daemons use logs for output. But the raised concern was, I thought, that users wouldn’t know where their log was located. If that isn’t a concern, there’s no need for such a script.
