I am reluctant to change the wiki if it is indeed me who has got it wrong!! The logwatch wiki specifically says to copy if using setup.py (although a little vague on exactly what to copy) instead of using symlink for some reason, whilst the others just say to use symlink. So I am still unsure exactly what is 'right' when doing a setup.py installation. I recall the wiki used to be spot on correct but that was before the days of the .deb installation method, so I suspect they have already been 'tweaked' but now reflect only the .deb.
Hence this posting - hoping Matthew or Tom will comment further.
