Andrew, I'm commenting before the coffee kicks in again.
I thought he was switching from a B to a B+. If that's the case, I've done it using the link I provided to switch from B to B+ on 2 that run ham radio stuff. If he's moving to a Pi 2 or 3 then it won't work.
