Hello all, With thanks to Tom and others for solving the first big hurdles in my recent migration from Cumulus, I now find myself looking at the next stage of my Weewx on Pi deployment, and that's trying to replicate Cumulus' console mode that I can bring up on any browser. In Cumulus I had to VNC into the box itself and I left the console up and running full time.
What I'm after is a live display that's constantly refreshing with every loop packet received, and displayed with a very nice skin or overlay or whatever the correct term is. Going beyond that, I need to find a way to upload my data online. I've never done this before and frankly I'm completely bewildered. Is there a preferred host for this or is that something the end user has to first set up on his/her own? Once a hosting account has been secured, are there very clear instructions for Linux-impaired folks like me to follow that will take me from nothing to a working result without the family's cats going into hiding or the risk of neighbourhood kids learning some new and exciting vocabulary from my shouts of frustration? Finally, I have seen a couple of examples in the gallery that look nice but I have no idea where to go and actually find/download them. Is there a definitive repository of all these skins or are most of them home-made by those far smarter than me? Many thank once again to one and all and best regards. -p -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "weewx-user" group.
