Ray,

The .html files are files that are meant to be viewed in a web browser such
as Chrome, Firefox etc. The .png files are image files that contain your
plots, they are linked from the .html pages so that when you look at one of
the .html files you see the corresponding images. You can also open the
image files in an app on your system that lets you view/manipulate images.

To view the html files ideally you need to have a web server running,
whether that be on your weeWX machine or on another machine (in which case
you will need to transfer the generated files from your weeWX machine to
the web server, weeWX can do that for you). There are a few possibilities
for viewing the files. Since you appear to be running a graphical desktop
you may be able to open your browser on your weeWX machine and then open
one of the html files directly from your browser, ie without using a web
server. How you do this depends on the browser, though at the end of the
day it is just like opening a file in any other app. If this works it will
only work from your weeWX machine and you will not be able to use the same
technique from any other device as the files are on your weeWX machine and
there is no web server configured to serve them to another device.

Another approach is to install a web server on your weeWX machine. There is
some guidance here
<http://weewx.com/docs/usersguide.htm#integrating_with_webserver> in the
weeWX User's Guide on this. This may involve installing some software on
your machine which may require some further config chnages. It is straight
forward though.

Another approach is to use a web server on another machine. This approach
has some advantages but is more complex to setup. I suggest you stick with
one of the above approaches for now.
