My old computer, on which I've been running view for many years, has died. I'd like to switch over to weewx, but I'm not sure if it will support my hardware. I'm running an original vantage pro. The console has a serial port, which I've connected to my LAN with a Lantronix serial-ethernet interface, an older version of this <https://www.lantronix.com/products/eds1100-eds2100/> one. I can't move the console near my computer, because the wireless won't handle the walls and the distance. So, I have uncertainty on two levels - the old Vantage Pro (not the newer + version), and the connection via a serial-ethernet interface. Can I make this work, or do I need to rethink the whole thing?
