Then we'll have to wait for Gary to chime in. But, it should be possible

Ah, but there is. wview <http://www.wviewweather.com/>, the program I used
before writing WeeWX, has an import utility, wlk2sqlite, which can import
from wlk files. Because wview and WeeWX share the same database, that makes
it available to WeeWX. But, to use it, you first have to install wview,
which, these days, may not be easy --- it has not been updated in many
years.
