Has probado leyendo desde el histórico?.
Es decir, parar Weewx por un tiempo mayor al de intervalo de registro y
luego reiniciar para que lea desde el log de la consola.
Yo llevo varios meses con la v3.8.1 sobre Debian 9, sin fallos hasta el
momento.
