Unlikely, the Vantage driver is mature and it's protocols well documented by the manufacturer. On the other hand, the WMR 300 driver is less mature and my understanding is the protocols have not been released by the manufacturer and what is publicly available is largely due to reverse engineering.
And if Google Translate is doing a half way decent job the issue being experienced by that Vantage user (wind direction is N/A when wind sped is zero) is expected behaviour for a default install.
