hmmm  wee_device should work!!!!

you did stop weewx before running wee_device I assume

did you try Y instead of y??  any difference??

otherwise this is a problem for Matthew to resolve methinks

but you should set the interval to 5 monutes by some means (I think the 
supplied sw with the station should also allow the interval to be altered) 
- and you also need to resolve why MySQL keeps on going away and making 
weewx restart.  Weewx continually restarting will also affect your report 
generation of course!!
