Looking for udp/50222 almost certainly means you have a WeatherFlow system, 
but you've provided no info on your network setup really.

Again - the 
FAQ https://github.com/weewx/weewx/wiki/faq-how-to-report-a-problem 
applies.    We need more info on your setup and need to see your debug=1 
logs.

I don't run Mint so I can't speculate what firewall setup it comes with, 
but if you turn your firewall off (for an hour), reset weewx, and it works 
for an hour....and then it fails after a few minutes after you re-enable 
the firewall, it is your firewall setup for sure.

You can also run my UDP listener to see what the os sees 
- https://github.com/vinceskahan/weatherflow-udp-listener is the link for 
that.  Just run it with the "--raw --decoded" options.
