Hello,

I have a Davis Vantage Pro2 with IP datalogger.

*Davis Vantage EEPROM settings:*

CONSOLE TYPE:                   Vantage Pro2
CONSOLE FIRMWARE:
  Date:                         Oct 29 2019
  Version:                      3.88

*My [Vantage] section in weewx.conf:*

    type = ethernet
    host = 192.168.3.99
    tcp_port = 22222
    tcp_send_delay = 0.5
    loop_request = 1
    iss_id = 1
    timeout = 4
    wait_before_retry = 1.2
    max_tries = 200
    model_type = 2
    driver = weewx.drivers.vantage

Most of the time, I get the following message and nothing happens:
Aug 22 10:42:20 sdaf weewxd[4596]: ERROR weewx.drivers.vantage: send_data:
no <ACK> received from Vantage console
Aug 22 10:42:20 sdaf weewxd[4596]: ERROR weewx.drivers.vantage: LOOP batch
try #1; error: No <ACK> received from Vantage console

Then, from nowhere, it starts working and downloads all the historical data
since the last record that was added to the database:
Aug 22 10:52:19 sdaf weewxd[4596]: INFO weewx.manager: Added record
2025-08-20 11:42:00 UTC (1755690120) to database 'weewx'
Aug 22 10:52:20 sdaf weewxd[4596]: INFO weewx.manager: Added record
2025-08-20 11:42:00 UTC (1755690120) to daily summary in 'weewx'

Has anyone experienced this kind of intermittent <ACK> issue with
WeatherLinkIP? Any suggestions on how to stabilize the connection?

Thanks,

Rodrigo
