the GW1000 or the EcowittHttp driver won't work with a HP25x0 console.
You can just continue with the interceptor driver, but with an upgraded
version as the original interceptor driver is no longer maintained and
doesn't support a WS90 (Wittboy)
You have to get yourself the ecowittcustoms driver from
https://github.com/WernerKr/Ecowitt-or-DAVIS-stations-and-Season-skin
read the README.md file and follow the instructions there.
At the console end you can keep the customized server settings as you
were using before.

The gw1000 driver has been pulled but Github has
https://github.com/Millardiang/weewx-gw1000 which is claimed to work.
However, it does not. After installing the extension, running driver
check i get:

More digging and it seems the API only responds to firmware version
and nothing else.
Am i barking up the wrong tree here? Using the wrong driver? Shall i
switch to interceptor?
