The problem is a bug in the hacked non-Belchertown Belchertown you are
using.
If you look at skin.conf you'll see:
copy_once = favicon.ico, *images /**, json/index.html, js/index.html,
js/responsive-menu.js, robots.txt
^^

See the two extra spaces ? It should be images/* with no spaces for that
item.
