Well i have some more reading to do on how to either create that wind gust 
speed from acurite atlas data or use the archive data (I have tried several 
things for both and not really got anything running).

However, in the mean time...     I am sending the data to weather 
underground (from weewx)  and then having hubitat read the data back and 
now it has a (not the same) wind gust value.  While this is a solution it 
is not a smooth solution (now dependent on another outside system that i 
have no control over.
