Ah. Well, two reasons: one, I grew up Catholic -- or, to be more
precise, had religion shoved down my throat at every turn until I
graduated from college. Two, at work, one of my areas of expertise is
(gulp) the President's Faith-Based Initiative. Ergo, I have a
particular interest in cultural depictions of the effects of religion
on people's lives.
