Actually, I swiped that off the EPA site, since I'm a
contractor there. I get a lot of comments on the Chief
Seattle quote, though. Someone who lives in my condo
complex told me that he was their hero and it was
their dearest wish to just hang and have a beer with
him, because he seemed like a cool dude. However, I
have no idea if people from Seattle regard him as a
local hero (seems like they should, though!).
