I just want to say to the discussion group of Gene Weingarten's fans that Gene's chat is truly awesome. Or as thesauri might say, fantastic, wonderful, unbelievable, terrific, great, laughter-inducing, thought-provoking, enlightening, worth giving up lunch hour for, and any other positive adjective you would like to add. Obviously I didn't just come to this conclusion, but today's chat reinforced this more than usual. 37 pages of 1-liners, amusing observations, interesting random facts, astute opinions, etc. etc. The Post needs to do what it can to keep him and his chat alive for the foreseeable future. I know the paper is in financial trouble, don't know about post.com. If it is I am willing to pay money to keep it alive. Maybe the chat should be syndicated, or maybe just the transcript? I don't know if other papers have the same chat capability as the post. I just wanted to share that.
