Yeah, but they don't die when you eat 'em.  They stay alive in your 
intestinal tract.  Which is why yogurt is good for you when you've 
taken antibiotics.

Re:  the tomato argument:  tomatoes and other fruits are genetically 
and evolutionarily designed to be eaten, in order to spread the 
organism's seeds and propagate the species.  That's why people like 
Dick Gregory are "fruitarians" -- they are uncomfortable with, or 
ethically opposed to, killing anything else for food.

I'm not one of these people, BTW.
